Inner Light Foundation Books
Betty Bethards and Charles Rubin have published multiple books.
Betty’s books are all self-development and spiritually focused. All of Betty’s are, you will notice, thin. Betty “cuts to the chase” when she writes. She doesn’t waste your time with frivolous or repeated content. You walk away with a lot to think about and with “meaty” content when reading any of Betty’s books. In fact, some publishers won’t let writers submit books that are too thin… they think readers want more “fluff.” Betty never minced words; she always got to the point – not only in her books but also in her lectures and seminars.
Charles Rubin, on the other hand, has written multiple non-fictional books. His book, “Don’t Let Your Kids Kill You” has sold over 150,000 copies and has “saved” many parents lives. His other books are absolutely a fun read and we home you check them out too.
The list of all of their published works are listed below.
The Dream Book
By Betty Bethards
The Dream Book by Betty Bethards has been the best selling book on dreams since 1983. It was revised and updated in 2016 with over 450 additional dream symbol definitions. The Dream Book is the most popular book on dream analysis in the world. It has exceeded sales of over a half million copies both nationally and internationally.
Dreams are your most treasured source of knowledge because the conscious mind cannot get in the way to distort the message being sent. “You can learn from this book to remember your dreams, recognize their meaning, and use them for inspiration and problem solving.” Betty says also, “Your dreams tell you what you are doing right and also what needs to be changed. Since we spend one-third of our lives in the sleep state, it is certainly to your advantage to use this time for insight.”
The Dream Book, Symbols for Self-Understanding, is divided into two parts. Part 1: Self-Understanding Through Dreams includes three chapters: the Meaning of Dreams, Working with Dreams, and Dreams and Expanded Consciousness. Part 2: Dream Symbol Dictionary lists more than 1600 of the most common dream symbols with cross references. With the latest edition, 450 more Dream Symbols have been added. you are encouraged to read Part 1 before using Part 2. Be sure to look in both symbol sections for your dream symbol.

Be Your Own Guru
By Betty Bethards
Be Your Own Guru offers a common sense message of how to find your way through life. It’s a message of unsurpassed challenges, tremendous hope and a barrel full of fun. It show us that as you sow, you reap. In her folksy, down-to-earth way Betty underlines that the only place to look for answers is within. Sitting on mountain tops and running after gurus is not what is in this book. Betty teaches that we need to be actively involved in working with our fellow human beings to create a world that works for us and for everyone. If we don’t, we just won’t have a world to worry about.

There is No Death
By Betty Bethards
Betty began to realize through her own “death” experience that the real you never dies, but lives on in another dimension of existence. In death, Betty discovered, only the physical body is shed, much like shedding a worn out overcoat. Death is a beginning, not the end. It is a change in the rate of vibrations, a transition into another level of consciousness.
As we consider the medical research today on thousands of death-bed reports of patients, we finally may begin to gain reassurance that death is not the end. It is but a beautiful step in the ongoing process of growth and unfoldment.
The greatest gift of all is life. We need our earth suit or body to learn how to or how not to do things. It may be difficult to understand or believe but there are no mistakes and we have chosen our lessons very carefully for what we need to learn and incorporate in this life time.

Techniques For Health & Wholeness
By Betty Bethards
“Physician, heal thyself,” is Betty Bethards basic message in this book, Techniques for Health and Wholeness. The Physician within you is your higher self, or God-self, and knows all answers to your problems of health and everyday living. As we learn to get in touch with this inner self, and accept responsibility for our own health and well-being, a whole new world of harmony and happiness opens to each one of us.
Betty believed that conventional medicine has much to offer and advocated using conventional medicine when needed. At the same time she taught that it is good to engage in self-healing behaviors and techniques in unison with conventional treatment and medicine.
Betty Bethards was taught methods of healing and meditation by her channel. Her channel was her attunement to her inner guides and teachers. What she channeled came through her, from higher sources of wisdom and insight. It is the intuitional level of awareness, a higher frequency or rate of vibration where one learns to hear higher teachings by attuning to the finer energies within. Betty taught that everyone has a channel that can be opened to the insights and love energy that comes from these expanded levels of consciousness.
In this book, Techniques for Health and Wholeness, Betty explains how self-healing can work for you!
Sex and Psychic Energy
By Betty Bethards
“Sex is beautiful, exhilarating, and helps us to stay young in body, mind and spirit,” Betty would explain.
Sexual energy is your life force and we have to learn how to direct it both for fulfillment in sexual love and pleasure but also in awakening our higher psychic and intuitional abilities. Through understanding this energy you can create a dynamic love relationship that helps you discover who you are as a person. This in turn helps you grow and provide a stability within you in today’s world.
Betty teaches in the Sex and Psychic Energy book that the misuse of sexual energy is causing much destruction and violence in the world today. This is what is preventing us from achieving a world of peace. Her teachers said that if we ever want our country to succeed, if we want to make a success of our marriages, to learn how to love one another, to get the economic and political systems on the right track, we’ve got to understand how to use and properly direct sexual energy.
Don't Let Your Kids Kill You
By Charles Rubin
When kids turn to substance abuse, parents end up becoming victims as they watch their children transform into irrational, self-damaging and antisocial individuals. This harrowing scenario finds parents buckling beneath the stress – often with catastrophic consequences: divorce, career upsets, breakdowns, financial problems… and worse.
Don’t Let Your Kids Kill You is landmark work that dares to focus on the plight of the confused, distressed parent and not the erring child. It sets aside any pre-conceived ideas that parents are to blame for what is essentially a full-blown global crisis helping parents realize that they are not alone.
Drawing on interviews with parents who’ve survived the heartbreak of kids on drugs, combined with his own experience, Charles Rubin provides practical advice on how parents can help themselves and their families by first attending to their own needs. Liberation from feeling guilty as a parent begins when you open this book.
This book defies the myth that parents must sacrifice themselves for their children. Instead, it shows them how to reclaim their power, balance, happiness… and lives!
I'll Get Right Back to You and Other Annoyances:

By Charles Rubin

Or being pregnant and having a total stranger pat your stomach. Or not being able to tell what they might be doing to your food in a restaurant after you have complained about it. And so many more more. It’s a fun and funny book and a great read!
4-F Blues
By Charles Rubin
This is a story about the way it was in Los Angeles, California, in 1942. World War II was on and millions of young men were answering the call of duty. Yet, many more wanted to join up but for their 4-F status (a classification for men not physically fit for service) that would not allow them to serve. Which was the case with the main character, Tom Driscoll, a Hollywood stuntman who was kept out of uniform because of a heart murmur. And even though Tom risked his life daily by performing death-defying stunts, Uncle Sam wouldn’t allow him to fight for his country. Tom did, however, through a series of hair-raising events on the home front, serve his country in a way he never expected. 4-F BLUES is a sentimental journey back to the glitter of Hollywood, 1942. It takes you into the studios and into the lives of the stars. It’s full of history and packed full of surprises.
Leaning On Thin Air
By Charles Rubin
This book delivers a vivid view of living in the advertising world, a life in which there was no private area. Whatever one said, whatever one did, hung on as a “tag” for one’s entire career. Who are the friends, who are the enemies — it was difficult to really know. That is why one is always “leaning on thin air.” The rewards are enormous, the failures equally enormous. One feels all of this along, with the central character, Bob Bronson, that he is always balancing his life on his every move. This would have been a much more interesting and captivating TV series than MAD MEN ever was.
This book keeps the reader deeply engaged because of its emotionally involving language as well as its portrayal of a sympathetic main character with whom we can readily associate. Go Bronson!
