Stop Searching Outside and Go Within
The following is a trance by Betty Bethards that was recorded at Asilomar, June 1987
Isn’t it beautiful that even as children you knew that there was a treasure chest within you, that all of the gifts and all of the abilities that you had developed and earned from past lives were within you, just waiting to be found and to be brought out, buffed and shined. You all have this inside you and it is within each and every soul. Most of you stumble around through life, never looking within, always looking without, always searching “out there” for your happiness, your love, your support, your security. Everything that you ever need, or will need, is within you right now. It is already accomplished; you just have to claim it and it’s yours.
Stones and crystals that you were asking about here at the conference were used when people needed a healing or needed a different vibration. They were drawn to particular stones when there was a lessening of certain minerals within their own bodies.
You may notice there will be times when you’re drawn to a certain stone, followed by times when you won’t want to wear it for several years, and you’ll wonder, “Why am I doing this?” It will be because you no longer need that rate of vibration from that stone anymore and you will be drawn to other things. If your body isn’t attracted to something, you’ll know it is not necessary for you at that time. If you continue to wear it after you have harmonized and balance your body, then the stone will be lost or stolen in order to wrestle it away from you. To use a stone that is going to put you out of balance is more detrimental than wearing nothing at all.
What you are learning is that you are electrical beings. Peace, harmony, love, joy, music, art, sharing and caring – all of these things increase, harmonize and heal your rate of vibration. Each of you is trying to maintain balance and harmony within your bodies so that you have the eyes to see and the ears to hear. In addition you are trying to maintain balance to hold the desire within yourself to meet conflict, to change it and to win from that peace of mind. For all things that are being led into you are but challenges; Challenges are opportunities for growth. Don’t see things as good or bad; they are all wonderful opportunities to creatively find a way out, through or under the situation that is presented to you. Use common sense in your daily life, my children. It is common sense that will always tell you if you are going in the right or the wrong direction. If your inner voice says, “Don’t do it,” and you go ahead and do it, you’ll see why you shouldn’t have done it. It’s as clear as the nose on your face. Just listen to it, watch and observe. Go through life as if on a wonderful journey. Every day you can see new scenery, new lessons, and all is positive. Go on this journey with great hope and expectations for what you can create from within yourself.
Each of you is a unique individual. We stress this often enough, but how often do you go in and clean out your chimney so that the smoke as well as the gifts and the warmth can come through your body? You keep things stifled and shoved inside and hidden away in closets and nooks and crannies where the world cannot see or share your beauty. You are all beautiful beings. Love yourselves; let your lights shine forth.
The situation with the AIDS crisis is to stop you and have you ask yourselves, “Who am I? What is love? What are relationships all about?” The greatest problem, as we see it, is with relationships. We’ll say it again that you are here to learn something from each other and in every situation. Recognize that you drew this experience to you, that no one forced it onto you. You drew this to you and you did not bring it in to make yourself suffer. You brought it in to learn from. Each relationship shows you what you want and what you don’t want. You cannot live on the hope that the other person will change. You have no idea what the other person has incarnated for. All you can do is learn about yourself and learn what is right for you and what is not right for you. If a situation is not right for you, and the other person is happy being who he/she is, then love them enough to respect their needs and let go and let God.
You are here to share your journey, my children. You’re not here to go in and force someone else to see life through your eyes. The example of tunnel vision Grainger showed you yesterday truly gave a description of how blind you really are, how little you really see, and how little many people want to see. For in order to enlarge your scope of vision and your perception, you must get in and make changes and clear away the old parts of yourself that you have been hanging onto for fear that you would be lost without them. “I wouldn’t be myself if I gave away those old parts and programs.” All we are suggesting that you do is to let your true light, your treasures, shine forth through the darkness, to illuminate those dark corners where the cobwebs and the old programs have been hidden away. Those are the things that create illness and disharmony.
The message from the AIDS crisis is “Commit to yourself! Commit to loving you!” Don’t settle in life for one-night stands. That’s not creating a happy and loving relationship. You deserve far better than that. You have earned far more than that. If you can have someone come in and give you the love and the joy, the cuddling, the holding, and the honesty that a relationship truly deserves, think how great your growth will be! Look at how it will skyrocket you into higher and higher states of consciousness. This is how you will then break through to your own Christ consciousness. It is through love that you do this. Not the love of a one-night stand or a roll-in-the-hay or a relationship where your partner imposes that “I have power over you,” or where you have power over the other person.
Love is sharing; it’s walking side by side through all of the darkness and all of the good times that life brings to you. Love is knowing you are a team; you’re there to support, to care, to help, to feel and to cry with one another. This is what a partnership is.
This is a time of great change, a planetary change as well as a change in man’s consciousness. You are being shaken awake to view this as more than a Sunday drive or just a frolic out there. It is a privilege to be in your earth suit. It is a privilege to have the gifts that you have. Stop and claim those gifts; use them to make a better world for yourself and for all of your fellow beings who are traveling and walking the same pathway in life with you. Allow others to walk their pathway and you walk along with those who have the same consciousness as you do. It does not mean your pathway is better than theirs. It simply means yours is more comfortable for you because you are being honest with where you are now.
There is great joy and great knowledge to be granted to each of you if you have the eyes to see and the ears to hear. It is free, my children, it is free for all people. You don’t have to grovel, you don’t have to suffer and you don’t have to punish yourselves. You have to learn how to truly forgive yourselves, how to be kind to yourselves, and how to release and forgive all people, knowing they were jewels in your life as you are or were a jewel in theirs.
We love you all. It is a very important year in your lives. We want each of you to let your light shine to all of the people who are led into you, for it won’t be enough for Betty alone to get out there and do everything. You all have the Christ light within you. Go share that in your towns, in your communities and in your businesses. Get out there and use it now. It truly is like the forces of God are marching and it will be a time of great joy. Some people will cross over and will get to go home. But this is not a sad thing. It is only sad that they might have had more opportunities to squeeze in a little extra learning. But if we are careless and not loving to ourselves, then we may deny ourselves that time.
Love yourselves, use common sense, listen to your bodies, and rid yourselves of all stress-tension and of all self-denial. We emphasize the self-denial because it is so important. You must go in and clean your own house. The future is yours, my children, and there is no limit.
