Tend to Your Life as if it Were a Garden
The following is a Trance by Betty Bethards that was recorded on November 13, 1994
Liken your life as unto a garden. When you plant a seed and cover it over, you don’t dig it up constantly to see if it’s getting roots. Put the seed in, water your crop, nurture it and it will grow for you. It’s learning to trust that the things that you plant – that you sow – will come forth into great blossoms in your life If you neglect to water, or weed, you’ll find your garden looks more like a weed patch than it does a thing of beauty and joy. It is important to water your garden daily and pull up the weeds as you see them coming up. Weeds are our old habits, attitudes, programs that are negative in our lives. They are our fears which arise. Rather than feed energy to our fears and worrying, ask yourself, “Is there something I can change? Is it something I can do something about it?” If not, give it to God, white light it, and trust that God knows the problem is being taken care of in His way, not your way.
For you do not have the wisdom yet to know the purpose for what is happening, even in your own life. Tend to your garden, weed your crops and you’ll get a better understanding of how life works.
People are led into to your life in order to shine their light on yours, into the dark corners of the mind where cobwebs have existed, to open you up to new things, new insights and new ways of being. It’s scary when we first allow ourselves to open up into something we don’t understand; this is normal, it’s typical. But experience it, feel it, and then put a tag to it that your left brain intellect can understand, handle, and deal with it. If you can put words to it and get an understanding of it, then that will help take away any fear.
Erase fear from your life. Fear blocks you not only from God but also from one another. How can you love if you fear? How can you grow if you fear the consequences? Ask yourself, tomorrow I may fall down but if I don’t fall down tomorrow, well, then it could be the next day, or the next, or the next. Look at all the energy that’s sitting there waiting for the negative to happen instead of going to where it should be and planting the garden of positive things in your life. The secret of your Iife is to cancel out all negative thought forms and to replace them with positive energy and positive thoughts. As you begin to perceive, through meditation, that thoughts, words, and actions truly do create your reality, as they create everyone else’s, you’ll see that worry brings in chaos. Mistrust sets up other people to let you down, to fail you in what you seem to think you need, without verbalizing what your needs really are.
Knowing yourself is what you came in to do. This is your whole purpose. Showing and demonstrating, through your life, the power of love and the power of positive thinking is the greatest gift you can give your children, you neighborhood and mankind. The more you meditate, the stronger your light becomes, and it becomes as a beacon to the world. Many things you cannot understand while you’re in your earth suit, but as you grow and you change, you begin to perceive and to know that this is true, and that you are the creator of your life, and you can make this be anything you want. The more you sweep out the clutter, the negativity, the fears, the more room you have for light to fill your being. This can be extended so that one person, one positive person, can change the energy of 1,000 negative people. Think about that! Negative people bring other people down. They are not happy with their lives, and they want to make sure that no one else is happy with theirs. Why did you bother to incarnate if you choose to sit back and resent the world and the way it’s going? Change yourself, and you change the universe. Think about the symbology of the knight in armor: anyone encased in armor or behind a wall is very safe and protected. Why did you bother to come back to the earth plane if you were going to stay inside a suit of armor? No one gets in, but the tragedy is, you don’t get out!
The fun of life, the joy of life, is getting out, making mistakes, picking yourself up immediately after those mistakes and learning from them, so that next time you will do it better. And each time it gets better and better, until finally you say, “I got that! I really understand!” and then you never again have to confront that lesson again. Life is not difficult unless you choose to make it so. By wallowing in the past, and not clearing it and releasing it, many times you’ll have to trust, you’ll have to go on faith, and the only way to have that faith is by meditating daily.
Meditation will help you begin to feel and experience the goodness in all people. Some will show you the bad, but the majority of people are really trying to project good. Sometimes they don’t understand right from wrong, and this is why you, as a teacher, can go out and demonstrate what it’s like to live love 24 hours a day. The more you practice, the easier it gets, and the more you help others to learn, not through words, but by watching your life and your light. Jesus had no media to promote himself when he spoke to the masses. People always found him. They were drawn to his light and to his energy field.
Each of you has a light around you. Worry and fear drops your energy immediately. Don’t do that to your body or to yourself. Push the light out, cancel the negative thought forms. Apologize when you have hurt others and release them to the light. Don’t worry whether they got the message.
Stop reacting to others’ hurt and pain. If others lash out at you, the symbology of the Bible in turning the other cheek is to say, “You know, I know that has absolutely nothing to do with me. I’m just showing them and mirroring to them a part of themselves that they didn’t want to look at or see.”
Recognize your value as a mirror to the world. The higher your energy becomes, the brighter your mirror becomes. The exciting thing is, after meditating you will never react any more. You’ll always able to stay in the third eye. And when you fall out, you merely ask for a dream to show you what the lesson was if you can’t figure it out for yourself. The “ask and ye shall receive” is very important. Again, it makes us humble ourselves and also teaches us we’re not know-it-alls. There is nothing worse than the spiritual ego that thinks it knows all truth and no one else knows. This is why you’re lucky to be around at a time in history when the veils are being lifted and you can see through and beyond where others before you have had great difficulty in seeing things.
Energy is heightened. This is why people a coming out with violence, fear, terror and abuse. Old programs are being replayed because they were abused. This is the only way they know – to lash out. They don’t know how to stand up and say, “Boy, I’m hurting. Could you hold me today?” All you have to do is recognize, see what it is, and clear it. If you can’t find what it is that’s hurting you, just ask to be held. It doesn’t matter. Accept the love, receive the love, and know that God walks every step with you. There is nothing to fear if you know Him. It’s there for all of you, not just one or two of you – but for all of you. Open your eyes and see. Open your ears and hear. Simplify your life.
Meditate daily and thank God for the blessings that you have. If you have to look to see what your blessings are, this will teach you to start looking for the positive instead of the negative. If you look for the negative, you will find that, but you will also find the positive by looking deeper. Look at other people and expect only good, and that shall be given to you. For whatever you expect is what will be done.
Love yourselves; thank your partner for being such a wonderful teacher in your life. They are teaching you whether you can make the relationship go or not. If you’ve tried everything you can, and you see how you set your lesson up and you’ve worked to change your lesson, then the greatest gift you can give is to let go and allow them to lead someone else in who perhaps can spur them on to growing where you know you couldn’t. And God will definitely lead someone in to you to spur you on, so that you both can continue growing through life.
Life is a river. Know when to let go. Know when to move on.
We love you and bless you. This time of year (in November) is the time we can come closest to you through your dreams and in guided visualizations. Love yourself enough to make the commitment of 20 minutes a day to tune into God, and give Him that time on a daily basis therefore allowing the other 23 hours and 40 minutes to be a wonderful and joy-filled adventure.
God bless you all. Close your hands into your palms and feel your white light a mile around you. Remember to white light yourself any time you feel yourself reacting. Breathe three slow, deep breaths to put yourself right back inside your energy field.
