Love is Powerful
The Following is a Trance by Betty Bethards recorded in the 1980’s
You have heard us say before that God is Love in all religions. You still have not grasped the concept of how powerful Love is. Each of you is a unique individual and there is no one like you in the entire universe. Each of you has special talents and gifts and abilities that, if you pursue the inner journey, you will be able to manifest and share with all mankind. As you begin your inner journey, it becomes exciting to know that all you have to do is love yourself. It is lack of self-love that creates insecurities, disharmony, and health problems. When your body, mind, or your spirit is healing, it is Love that is doing the work. If you cut your finger and you love that finger, and you say, “I’m sorry. I was acting carelessly and not paying attention to what I was doing. I really love you,” the cut will heal miraculously without a scar. It is amazing what you can do in healing when you just send love. This helps you to understand how healing works. It also helps you to see things in a whole different way.
You have a higher self and you have a lower self. Simply stating, you have a judge and a jury that sit up in the third eye and who are in constant communication with the God force within you. You are able to tap into this judge and jury, who will always, with great love, show you what’s going on and how you’re creating it if you but ask. The higher self is the one that can sit in front of this judge and jury and ask questions and truly desire to hear the answer. The lower self does not want to accept what it hears because it means self-responsibility and self-discipline; it means it has to change the way it’s doing things and can no longer blame others outside itself.
All of you have had glimpses of this higher self. When you go with the higher self you will always be shown what the issue is that you’re dealing with. There’s an easy way around, under, or over any obstacle in your life, if you work hand-in-hand with the higher self.
The advanced soul, the one who is living pure love, who loves itself, the higher self, who can say, “You know, everything is just perfect, and if people don’t notice that I’m doing something good, it doesn’t matter to me because I love myself. The only attention I need is what my judge and jury give to me as to how well I did something or if I have to repeat a lesson if I didn’t pass the test.”
Life is nothing more than school. You’re here to know yourself. That’s your only purpose. The more you go within, the more love, the more beauty you will begin to see. If you could only feel for two seconds the depth of love that we feel for you, you would never again question what you need to do. The goal is to develop that gift of love within yourself. Go in and love every part of yourself.
Keep what you like about yourself, and get rid of all of the old that is no longer necessary. If you’re carrying a backpack up the mountain and you’re carrying around issues you will be weighted down and it will slow you on your journey to the precipice. Instead, discard what you no longer need to carry and only bring with you what is important for your growth. This will help you to see things in a whole different way. It also helps you to understand why healing works.
Animals are always sending love to you. No matter how down you are, your pet will come up and lie beside you because the animal’s sixth sense is tune with you, and the animal knows you need love, if you are lonely or if you are hurting. This is what you need to feel for yourself. Give yourself that love, give yourself acceptance. Stop beating yourself up! Stop invalidating yourself. You’re a child of God and within you is wonderful, beautiful love energy that you’re just beginning to tap into. You will never reach the heights of your potential without the inner journey because you will not find it outside yourself. People search for love, they search for security, they search for peace, but they’re always looking outside themselves. Within you lies the source of all things.
Anything you need can be found within you. All answers, all ways of understanding why life is the way that it is, are within you. There truly is no accident. God does not make mistakes. And it’s up to you to see how you’re flowing with the river of life, or if you’re going against the river of life.
We love you. We support you in all that you do. We allow you to take your own time to travel your own inner journey in your own way. Imagine yourself on the top of a mountain, looking down at everyone who is going on their own journeys. Some are coming straight up the sides of the mountain; some are just going around and around. Others are sitting down and doing nothing. We ask that as you go in and as you approach life, you never judge anyone else and you don’t judge yourself or others because we all have to learn in the way that is the best for each of us.
Love all people. Allow them to be who they are and allow them to walk their own journeys. Any time people come across in disharmony or anger, they’ve negated the whole situation and nothing is going to go right with it. Things that you can change, speak up for and change them, but always do it with love.
This is a powerful energy time; take advantage of it. See if you can live only kindness and love every day for a month. Let no angry or critical remarks go through you because whatever you’re putting out, you’re creating inside. People are only the mirror for you to see yourself. Look for your beauty but don’t ignore that which you have to deal with and watch what this does to your aura and your energy.
