Use Your Imagination and Be Brave
Below are suggestions to help you to achieve your prosperity – however you define it.
- Learn to take a time out
When situations or relationships offer challenges you can’t solve, imagine yourself putting the entire problem on a shelf and don’t take it down to look at it for some time. In this way, you invite insight and a fresh perspective to help resolve the issue. What problem are you working on that would benefit from a pause? - Learn from your mistakes
Edison knew 1,800 ways not to build a light bulb. One of Madam Curies “failures” was radium. Columbus was looking for India. What were some of your biggest “errors” that led you to some new opportunities or knowledge?

- Take a whack at it
You can’t hit a home run unless you step up to the plate. You can’t catch a fish unless you put your line in the water. You can’t make your idea a reality unless you take a swing at it. Trying unusual ideas is at the heart of creative thinking. Think of three ways you can take a whack at your idea(s)? - Give yourself a pat on the back
What have you done well lately? Others can praise you but you don’t hear it. Where have you made progress? What have you accomplished? What obstacles have you overcome? Say congratulations to yourself. Now go out and earn another one! - Imagine how others would do it
Think like a kid and use your imagination. What would a 7-year old see if he/she were looking at your project? How would you solve the problem if you were the opposite sex? Using different perspectives can help you expand your creative abilities and talents.
