All About Ann Fitzsimons
Ann Fitzsimons is a web designer who loves making a website flow with good design where you can find what you need within one or two clicks. She loves bringing graphics, good content and SEO together. When working on a website, she not only wants the User to find what they are searching for but she also wants them to stay on the site for as long as possible in order to help with ranking.
Ann lives in San Jose, California and enjoys the benefits of Silicon Valley every day; great weather with smart and wonderful people everywhere!!
She grew up in southern California, graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and ended up in northern California. From there she took many classes throughout her career earning multiple technical certifications throughout her life at UC Santa Cruz Extension in Silicon Valley in order to keep her technical skills up-to-date.
Ann is realistic, practical, and a “do-er”. She is also very down-to-earth and someone who laughs easily. Creating and maintaining a nice website is like great music to her ears. She enjoys being able to combine art with technology always keeping SEO top-of-mind.
The Betty Connection
Ann was introduced to Betty Bethards in the late 1980’s. She attended one of her many seminars when searching for answers during a troubled marriage with two daughters. And did she find answers! Betty helped Ann to make sense of her world and gave her the tools and tips to help her make the hard decisions to ultimately make her life better. She found Betty to be practical, easy to understand and who gave suggestions that were easy to follow. She ended up going to as many seminars as were offered in Silicon Valley. She also attended one or two of Betty’s Asilomar Conferences. Every time she heard Betty, something new would click into place like a “cog fitting into the wheel.” Betty made so much sense that it sounded like common sense to Ann.
Ann was able to get a 3 year restraining order on her husband and eventually divorce him. A few years later, the man she had been dating for 3 years died from a heart attack and 8 months later her oldest daughter died from an accident at 18 years of age. Suffice it to say her whole world fell apart. But she had learned from Betty that there is no death. If Ann hadn’t learned about Betty’s teachings before all of that loss, she’s not sure she would have kept her sanity. Between Betty’s teachings, her friends, family and attending grief groups, she survived and felt like she kept her sanity. Ann didn’t lose two children like Betty did, but she knows that she wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for Betty’s teachings.
Years after Betty’s passing, Ann connected with Charles and realized that the Inner Light Foundation website needed help. She felt that she was the perfect person to help. First, Ann was able to get the audible recordings transferred into downloadable .wav files (so many hours of work)! She then discovered that Charles had a TON of written content that was left over from Betty’s seminars and lectures just sitting in boxes. Much of what Betty taught is in her books and on the downloadable seminars but Ann was able to “discover and rescue” a ton of content in those boxes. It’s been a labor of love and two years of time. Ann and Charles hope that the work that has been put into this updated version of the Inner Light Foundation website will help people – and preserve the amazing teachings that Betty shared with us while she was here on earth.
